Nokia: Brand Licensing Requirements Guidelines

Back in 2016, Nokia Technologies signed a licensing deal that gave HMD Global the rights to make and sell Nokia devices.

As Nokia-branded products hadn’t been marketed for a while, new guidance was needed to help HMD’s creative agencies give people the best possible brand experience.

Our role was to craft 7 guideline documents which would give both general best-practice and specific brand guidance across the key parts of the brand experience: out of home, print, retail, online, social media – as well as a clear direction of photography.

To do this we had to create – from scratch – a range of creative campaign assets for a set of new products provided by HMD. From these creative examples, we then set the guidance for HMD and their agencies to follow. Below is a snapshot of the finished guidelines.
