Highlights:

Collaborating with Fat Rat Films on campaign films and content for The World Health Oragnization, UNODC, UKYouth, EmpowHER and Amnesty.

Working with Studio Output to craft TOV Guides and rebrand comms for High Speed Training and an App that takes the stress/confusion/fear/boredom out of doing your taxes.

What started out as a freelance gig working on a key-note speech for Nokia Phones, turned into the chance to join a fledgling agency and be part of shaping it alongside an amazing group of creatives, developers, strategists, PMs and AMs. This time turning perm saw me honing my craft across everything from digital-first global campaigns, brand playbooks, web articles and an online educational course – for brands and organisations including Bepanthen, Nokia and Elevit. It also allowed me to grow my creative direction and mentoring skills, and get involved with recruiting other writers as we built the Copy team.

TMW Unlimited, London

Senior Copywriter

I arrived at TMW Unlimited as a Freelancer and teamed up with Art Directors and Designers to create print, email and online customer comms for Sainsbury’s, Simple, HSBC and Nissan, amongst others. I went perm three months in and worked across McLaren, Canon, Sony and Infiniti. As well as producing CRM concepts and copy for that little lot, I also helped oversee the copy produced by Mid-weight, Junior and Freelance writers.

As one of four Copywriters at this integrated agency, 
I was charged with developing everything from big campaign concepts and branding to editing supplied copy and proofreading. Working alongside Creative Directors, Designers and Account Handlers across all platforms, we produced B2B and B2C work for clients including SEGA, HMV, Turner Media Innovations, The Football Association, Network Rail, Barclays and Arsenal FC.

Copywriter

As Headline’s first ever Copywriter, I was responsible for establishing the role within the company – setting 
up and maintaining efficient copy procedures. I wrote jacket blurbs for a wide range of fiction and non-fiction titles (from medieval murder mysteries to Mediterranean recipe books), and worked with the marketing team on campaigns across print, radio and online.

My wireless days involved interpreting creative briefs for a wide range of radio stations and clients, writing scripts and working with producers to create effective and entertaining ads that would add to people’s listening pleasure rather than feel like an unwelcome interruption. I was also responsible for scheduling and allocating work within the department.
